Cathy Donovan Wagner opened her first store over 25 years ago and quickly grew it to 3 stores in Chicago grossing more than 2 million dollars.  She decided to sell these stores in order to begin consulting and speaking to hundreds of independent specialty store owners and has been doing so for the last 11 years.  Bottom line: she knows what a store needs to be successful.  She has made plenty mistakes during her years as a retail owner – mistakes that she doesn’t want others to make and that is what makes her experience so valuable.  She has seen firsthand the tremendous benefits that the strategic planning and inventory management processes bring to a business.
